On Monday, we learned that kindly British naturalist David Attenborough would reprise his role as the worlds premier narrator of wildlife footage when Planet Earth II debuts on the BBC later this. Critics have called Sir David Attenboroughs latest series of Planet Earth 'awe-inspiring' and 'magnificent' but also 'horrifying' and 'sad'. It was the first major dinosaur-related series for BBC One since Walking with Dinosaurs. Five years in the making, it was the most expensive nature documentary series ever commissioned by the BBC and also the first to be filmed in high definition. Planet Dinosaur, is a six-part documentary television series created by Nigel Paterson and Phil Dobree, produced by the BBC, and narrated by John Hurt.It first aired in the United Kingdom in 2011, with VFX studio Jellyfish Pictures as its producer. His last BBC production credit came with the four-part 2015 miniseries The Hunt. Planet Earth is a 2006 British television series produced by the BBC Natural History Unit. on BBC America, AMC and Sundance then airs only on BBC America, Saturdays at 9 p.m. His deep and dignified voice definitely adds gravitas, and fans love the unusual way he pronounces 'penguins' as 'pengwings.' 2. Host and narrator: David Attenborough Premieres Saturday, Feb. Sir David Attenborough, along with stars Bella Ramsey, Shailene Woodley, Gillian Anderson, Bastille and more attended the 360-degree immersive launch. Netflix says the series has been in production for roughly four years, which means its gestation period may have overlapped with 2016's Planet Earth II, on which Fothergill was not credited.
